Question by Adrian Matterson: How much do opera tickets run for?
I’m thinking of perhaps seeing The Marriage of Figaro or Berlioz’s Damnation of Faust at the Chicago Lyric Opera, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how much a ticket runs for on the web site, or anywhere. Anyone have an idea of how much they cost in different areas?

I would guess a good seat would be in the to 0 range…. which is a good reason for the ROYAL OPERAS in Europe… some years ago I saw Rudolph Nureyev dance the Damnation of Faust at the Royal Opera in Bruxelles and paid for a BOX SEAT right over the end of stage left… you can NEVER do that in the U.S.
