I must say, most singer’s voices are in tatters at Ms. Price’s age…but she still sounds (and looks) lovely, though!

  • mariasarda says:

Wow, Léontyne !!!! A 81 ans, le timbre est intact et les aigus aussi ! C’est un peu normal, on dit que les Verseau sont éternellement jeunes…

  • Trinite33 says:

Leontyne, goddess of all the gods.

  • musoph21 says:

uhmm..because leona looks more white? you have just contradicted yourself..

  • martello79 says:

  • ncrunch says:

At 81 she is still gorgeous!!!

  • eb641 says:

Leontyne Price was the greatest operatic soprano voice of all time and it’s amazing to see how great she looks and SOUNDS at 80. Bravissima!

  • VoyArrasando says:

La price is absolutely gorgeous , Beautiful black woman! The pictures of her in her youth remind me of Jennifer Hudson.

  • ImpatraZ says:

That being said! Look at how amazing she looks at 80. She looks better at 80, than Maria Callas did during her last days.

  • ImpatraZ says:

She was by no means ugly. She wasn’t a grand beauty either, but the beauty of her voice, was and is unequalled.

  • Mropera111 says:

I think its wonderful to be remembered and to singing a little something to make anyone remember a happy moment. To the individual(s) that made comments about the beauty of her black skin really have no love respect for the human soul. Looks compliment the soul, but looks can never reveal the true beauty of the soul. I could care less if someone’s face was so distorted that they resembled “fleville,” its the soul that I find the connection. No soul, no beauty.

  • jwbtenor says:

AH! Thank you! I have heard of the song and know that it was a popular recital staple with singers once.

  • liedersanger1 says:

The song is HOMING by Teresa del Riego, a sound she used to sing in her first recitals. And that’s the last word: Homing.(It was a popular song in Rosa Ponselle and Flagstad’s day.)

  • jwbtenor says:

Does anyone know what this was Price was singing? I can tell there is an “Amen” at the end…

    She sounds great!!!!!

  • liedersanger1 says:

Who was the other? I’m dying to know? !

  • vkaminsky says:

This tasteless peasant is not worth acknowledging. He may call himself “gradissimocazzo,” but he is simply a big putz.

  • nichtsleezy says:

Thank you!! This termite is an abomination. Why does it continue to watch Price videos and make nasty comments, as if to dissuade those of us who love her talent? What a loser!!!!

  • Tvoce625 says:

When you can spell correctly then I will take heed.

  • fleville says:

I beleive the same, Miss Price has bad taste for make-up, outfit and her horrible turban. She never was a refined woman

  • fleville says:

I can’t beleive how bad black people live with a complex of being black.Nobody talked about Price skin color. There are beautiful black women and ugly black woman like in any raze.Leontyne Price wasn’t a beautiful woman she was ugly, Leona Mitchell is a beautiful woman
